Dear Scout Families,

Some changes have been made in the previously published Board of Review and Court of Honor dates. Please mark your calendars with these important changes. Please note that some changes have also been made to the procedure for scheduling a Board of Review. These modifications are detailed below as well.

Revised Dates
Court of Honor: Monday, May 19th

Board of Review: Monday, July 28th
Court of Honor: Monday, August 11th

Board of Review (REVISED DATE): Monday, Sept 8th
Court of Honor (REVISED DATE): Monday, Sept 22nd

Revised Procedure for Scheduling a Board of Review

  •  Scouts will need to contact Pam Vitarelli at least one week in advance to sign up for a Board of Review.
  • When contacting Pam Vitarelli for your Board of Review, you will need to leave your name and the rank you are interviewing for, along with your contact information

During your Board of Review

  •  Come dressed in your full Class A uniform
  • Have your scout book available with all requirements for your rank signed off, including a scoutmaster conference and the date the conference was held
  • Be prepared to recite the scout oath, scout law, scout motto, and the outdoor code, along with answering questions specific to the rank you are interviewing for
  • Plan on taking 10-20 minutes for your Board of Review depending on which rank you are interviewing for
  • When scout meetings are scheduled at Pioneer Middle School, the Board of Reviews will take place in the area to the right of the MPR behind the "movable wall". We ask that all scouts not directly involved in the Board of Review show respect for their fellow scouts by not entering this area while a review is in progress
  • When Pioneer Middle School is not available, Board of Reviews will take place at Cedar Grove Park (adjacent to Pioneer Middle School) at the covered picnic area next to the play equipment

Our goal in making these changes is to have the Board of Review a positive experience for all scouts. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
