Jamboree Troop 832

Hello Troop 832 families. Happy Holidays!
Just a reminder that in honor of the upcoming holiday season our Mistletoe fundraiser is coming up. Our goal is to give out 2000 bags of mistletoe and receive a donation of $2.00 each bag for total income of $4000.00 This translates as shown: 2000 bags - 300 bags pre-sold by Cadena family 1700 bags distributed to the 30 remaining scouts equals sales of approximately 55 bags per scout for a total of $110.00 to be turned in by December 31st Each scout should manage his own money as each will be responsible for turning in full $110.00. The can be handled in several ways but the most convenient option is for a parent to take and deposit the cash then write a check to the troop for the full amount and indicate in the memo line the name(s) of your scout and "Mistletoe". the check should be mailed to me at 2375 Marks Drive Tustin, CA 92782. After I have tallied all the payments and given your scout his participation credit, I will get the checks to our treasurer. This is a 100% pure profit fundraiser which will put us approximately 33% towards our goal of $12,000.00. That's great! All fundraisers are mandatory however I will work with you to find options or solutions to your particular situation if a problem should arise, just give me a call. You may buy out for $110.00. The Cadena family has had great luck in pre-sales and so have therefore eliminated their need to stand in front of a Walmart or some other store. If you scout wants to sell his mistletoe at his home troop, church, school, parents work, at Christmas tree lot (get permission first), or around the neighborhood this is perfectly acceptable just let me know. I know for a fact I can sell over 50 bags here at work so that option might be easier for many of you. If this selling on your own works better for you please communicate this to me ASAP so I can get out the final schedule and locations and I will know why your scout is not selling at a store. A combination of both might be the best! Just remember all mistletoe sales are in full scout uniform! Do not sell door to door without a buddy/parent present. Regardless of where or how you sell everyone should be planning on coming to the scout hut in Fullerton ,next Friday night December 10 at 6pm. We will cut and assemble the mistletoe into packages and each scout will take home his share. This should be pretty quick if we all participate. Please RSVP so I can be sure our refreshment coordinator has enough refreshments/pizza available. If you are unable to make it to assemble the Mistletoe please let me know. However, we need as much participation as possible to get this work done so we can sell on Saturday. If you can not come to assembly you will also need to arrange for someone to pick up your share of the mistletoe so you can get it sold. Special situations? please call me at 714 731-7771 (Chris) and leave me a message if I am not there, or simply e-mail me then I will have written confirmation and can keep track of everything easier. One thing to remember is the mistletoe only lasts for a few days and you will be responsible for payment of the $110.00 to the troop regardless of whether or not you actually sell the mistletoe.
